My new receiver came yesterday, the Spektrum SR3500 2.4Ghz micro receiver.  It costs £60+, which is as much as the original Micro-T cost me in total!!  I’ve been very reluctant to part with that kind of money for one part of such a small car, but, bearing in mind the amount I’ve already spent on it and it was undriveable with the Losi 27Mhz transmitter (upgraded for the brushless conversion) I had to give it a try.

By and large, it’s solved most if not all of my problems.  The steering is now rock solid, and interference free.  I still intend to upgrade the servo to the SM22 at some point but for now, it’s fine.  The only problem I now seem to have is the damn thing cutting out every so often.  I don’t know if thats down to the ESC overheating or not but it is quite annoying.  I’m on the smallest gear, so I don’t know what to do next to resolve it.

Anyone got any ideas?
